After managing 15 properties, I’ve learned which signs actually get used by guests and which ones just look nice sitting on a shelf. If you’re setting up a rental and trying to figure out what’s worth printing and displaying, here’s what earns its spot in every one of my properties. These are, hands down, the best Airbnb signs I’ve used across all 15 properties.
Welcome Sign
This is the first thing a guest sees when they walk in, and it does more work than people expect. A good welcome sign sets the tone for the whole stay before you’ve said a single word to your guest. Mine includes the WiFi network, a warm greeting, and a quick nod to house rules so guests feel oriented immediately instead of confused.

WiFi Password Sign
This is the single most requested piece of information from any guest, in any rental, ever. Having it displayed clearly means fewer messages from guests standing in your kitchen trying to find your phone number. I keep mine simple: just the network name and password, no clutter.

House Rules
Setting expectations early prevents almost every awkward mid-stay conversation you’d otherwise have to have. Quiet hours, parking, smoking policy, whatever matters for your specific property- having it written down and displayed means you’re not the bad guy for enforcing something guests never knew about.

Pool Rules
If your property has a pool, this sign isn’t optional; it’s protection. Clear safety rules displayed poolside protect you and set clear expectations for guests using a feature that comes with real risk if used carelessly. This is consistently one of my best-performing signs; hosts with a pool need this exact thing, and they need it fast.

Hot Tub Rules
Same logic as the pool sign, but for hot tubs specifically. Temperature limits, time limits, no glass- whatever your rules are, having them posted clearly keeps guests safe and keeps you covered. This is one of my top converting listings overall.

Checkout Instructions
Turnover time is money when you’re managing multiple properties, and a clear checkout sign keeps guests on the same page as your cleaning team. Trash out, dishes done, keys where they belong- whatever your process is, having it spelled out means fewer surprises when your cleaner walks in.

If You Want All of Them: Where to Find the Best Airbnb Signs
Rather than buying signs one at a time, I bundle mine together for hosts who want a complete, cohesive look across their whole property without piecing it together sign by sign. This bundle includes the Welcome Sign, WiFi Password Sign, House Rules, Book Direct and Save sign, and Checkout Instructions, priced to make sense if you need more than one. If you’d rather combine two of these into one, I also made a Welcome Sign with a built-in WiFi QR code, so guests get the greeting and instant WiFi access in a single scan.

Who doesn’t love a good bundle?! That’s why I created my Signature Bundle.

These are signs from my own Etsy shop, The Modern Host Shop, designed from real hosting experience across 15 properties. Every template is editable in Canva, so you can match your own branding and property style.
